Event Details

Sundays in Kerouac Alley | North Beach

Sundays in Kerouac Alley is a series of free readings and discussions by some of San Francisco’s premier literary organizations like ZYZZYVA, Sister Spit, and Quiet Lightening. The events are presented as part of the City Lights 60th Anniversary series.

San Francisco’s City Lights is perhaps one of the most well known bookstores in the country, if not the world. It was fertile ground for the Beat Generation and continues to serve as the cornerstone of the city’s literary community.

Quiet Lightning | Sundays in Kerouac Alley | North Beach

Quiet Lightning will curate a literary mixtape of all forms of writing: no introductions or banter, just various patterns of language that succeed and enrich each another. Submissions will be open to the public soon. Hosted by Evan Karp.
