A Bug’s Picnic: Eat Bugs (Seriously) & Play Games in the Park | Dolores Park

Come join their bug picnic, where instead of the bugs eating your food, you eat them. They’ll have bug snacks, a slackline, frisbees to toss around, fun photo booth, blankets to sit on, and the Chirps team to hang out with–so come join the fun. Sun’s out, bugs out.

At Chirps, they believe in eating bugs (sustainable protein source anyone?). They also believe that eating bugs should be fun and celebrated. So meet them at Dolores Park on Saturday where they host free weekend celebration events to bring San Franciscans together to talk about sustainability, eat bugs, and make new friends.

And of course, they’ll also have Chirps cricket chips and Chocolate “Chirp” cricket cookies to nom-nom on. So bring a friend who hasn’t eaten bugs before and let’s get them involved with the movement! Come find us part of the way up the hill from the Dolores side between 18th and 19th. (Look for the giant “Eat Bugs sign”).
