Surrey Street Salon to present a late-summer evening of original folk music on unique and handmade instruments, with DJ to follow. This salon to be held on Friday, August 21st at 8pm

Peter Whitehead (original music on handmade instruments)

Peter Whitehead makes extensive use of unusual or self-made acoustic instruments in his folk/experimental original music.

Hazy Loper (gothic backwoods folk originals)

Since 2003 Hazy Loper, a duo comprised of multi-instrumentalists, instrument-builders, historians, and artists has been performing and recording a raw and natural breed of gothic backwoods folk music. Led by Patrick Kadyk and Devon Angus, the band employs strange tunings, a sense of time and place, and a D.I.Y. approach to form and cacophony.
