Event Details

Swap-O-Rama-Rama is a clothing swap and series of do-it-yourself workshops at the ginormous American Steel Studios in West Oakland in which a community explores creative reuse through the recycling of used clothing and costumes on October 19, 2013.

Free, but a $5 donation is suggested and an RSVP is encouraged.

Stations for sewing and probably gluing will be set up and manned by experts ready to help you get started.

Feel free to unload your unwanted clean clothing (mens, women’s, kids, all sizes) and especially costumes. Sewing supplies are welcome as well. Bring as little or much as you like, and take away as much as you like. Clothing and accessories only.

Swap-O-Rama-Rama is a non-profit, Creative Commons event that takes place in over 100 cities annually throughout the world. The Oakland edition is hosted by American Steel and The Crafty Avenger.
