Celebrate heartbreak and hook-ups with San Francisco’s finest blend of talent.
From songs of sorrow and woe to hilarious dramatic readings of awful OK Cupid messages, this night will entertain and enthrall even the most bitter and broken-hearted of the Bay. The evening includes music, readings and art…love, woe and sex (and beer, wine and booze for purchase)
Come make crafts, drink wine, eat snacks and share stories.
Music From the Likes Of:
- D Haven – New to the Bay Area, this Southern gentlemen will put you either out on the dance floor or deep into thought.
- Pocket Full of Rye – An acoustic trio comprised of cello, guitar and girl. They’ve been described as baroque-rock, 50s-ish, and front-porch blues-ey.
- Mark Joseph (The Human Condition, My Revolver and Pirate Cat Radio) and Kevin McCarthy (Slow Motion Cowboys) – Knee-slapping, tear-jerking and other hyphenated emotional reactions ensue when these two take the stage.
Words from these Folks:
- Lauren Eggert-Crowe – writes poetry and wears cute hats. She never barks up the wrong tree, but sometimes the wrong tree falls on her.
- Isaac Fitzgerald – The managing editor at TheRumpus.net, an online magazine dedicated to culture, just not the poppy kind.
- Caitlin Myer – Her short stories have been published in charming, short-lived literary magazines, online journals and the occasional anthology.
- Anna Pulley – From the rough-and-tumble deserts of southern Arizona, Anna Pulley is a professional tweeter/blogger for Mother Jones and a freelance writer in SF.
- Benjamin Wachs – A writer’s writer, a SF Weekly political columnist and a leader of sing-alongs. He will soon have his own theme song.
