Event Details

In Presidio Dialogues, notable authors, artists, and conversation starters explore themes from ancient history to current events through interactive dialogues, stimulating talks, panels, performances, and films.

Mark Bittner, author and human subject of The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, presents a talk and reading from his work-in-progress, Street Song, on his journey through the streets of North Beach and the parrots who saved him. When Bittner turned 21 in the early 1970s, he moved to San Francisco, where the dream he’d been nurturing of becoming a singer-songwriter-poet collapsed.

Free but an RSVP is required.
