13-17 year olds can enjoy free admission to “The Summer of Love Experience: Art, Fashion and Rock & Roll” special exhibition on Saturday, May 13th, while learning how to unite over social issues.
The 1967 Summer of Love in San Francisco was a catalyst for social and cultural change. Young people looked at the world around them and decided to take action to create the world they wanted. Join us to celebrate and unite for causes that effect us all.
Join them as they learn ways they can unite and support each other for important social issues concerning identity, the environment, equality and immigration. The museum will host local and nationwide community activist groups to speak about current social issues as well as spoken word and poetry performances, gallery activities, poster art making and music of the times.
