Event Details

San Francisco Theatre Pub presents Congresswoman, a modern and foul-mouthed adaptation of an ancient Greek play about women taking over local government and establishing some, umm, new rules.

This play, in which the players will hilariously don sandals and sheets to get that Athenian look, will have the tables turned on men. For example the new congresswomen make a rule that promises sex to those in need before those most desired; it sends local hot guys running for their lives as three ugly crones come calling for their dues.

About The Company: SF Theater Pub
This company has specific guidelines about what kind of plays it puts on and they’re very telling. For example: Plays must be no longer than the time it takes to finish a beer. Plays must take place in a bar and must respect the bar space. Plays must have no more than three actors and at least one of the characters must be drinking a beer during the scene. The play is over when a beer is finished.
