ThinkWalks: Nerdy Tours for San Franciscans
Thinkwalks are fun and nerdy walks led by Joel Pomerantz exploring San Francisco’s geography, public art, politics and culture.
All Thinkwalks projects, from the hilltop tours to the lowly postcards, are about discovery, enhanced by groups of curious people bouncing ideas together.
Burn some calories and learn a thing or two on a vigorous, hilly 6-mile hike with occasional historic presentations in the Presidio on Sunday, January 20, 2013.
Get a close look at five flowing surface creeks in a city where most people barely know of a single flowing creek.
The hike will loop, starting at the Baker Beach parking lot, and will last 4-5 hours with a scenic stop for snacks. Bring water, lunch, and snacks to share.
Free, but an RSVP is required. The hike is limited to only 15 participants.
Please note, the hike occurs rain or shine.
