In honor of the anniversary of the end of WWII, the SS Jeremiah O’Brien and the USS Pampanito are displaying a 6-foot-tall version of Seward Johnson’s famous sculpture depicting the “Times Square Kiss” for two days at Pier 45.
For two days only, from 11 am to 4 pm on both Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7, people are invited to view the sculpture, take photos and enjoy free live music.
The sculpture is being driven across the country from Times Square to promote public awareness of National Spirit of ’45 Day on August 14. So come commemorate this historic moment in history with the whole family and enjoy a weekend of WWII remembrance at Fisherman’s Wharf.
