Event Details

I wanted to let you know about an event happening in the East Bay September 10-11th that can illustrate some timely topics like affordable housing, inflation and sustainability.
TinyFest CA 2022 is a tiny home and nomadic living expo that draws a variety of eco-friendly builders, van lifers and alternative housing advocates. There are quite a few attendees with fascinating stories from the San Francisco area that I’m happy to flag for you too ahead of the weekend festival.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Pleasanton, Calif. –  TinyFest 2022 will transform the Alameda County Fairgrounds into a small city of ‘tiny homes’ for one weekend, September 10-11th.  The festival draws homeowners, builders and nomads from around the country to show off and experience the latest and greatest (and smallest) in tiny home living, from elaborately converted vans, buses and even ambulances to shipping containers and eco-friendly, space-conscious dwellings. An opportunity for the curious to peek behind the curtain of tiny living, TinyFest regularly attracts thousands of spectators from around the region.

The tiny home and nomadic living expo will feature dozens of show models and privately owned homes open to the public, as well as guest speakers, panel discussions, vendor demonstrations, food and live music. But TinyFest is more than just a weekend of entertainment–it’s the celebration of and advocacy for a movement grounded in sustainability, human connection, adventure and freedom.

Weekend passes are available to the public online for $20, or $15 for one day with advance purchase, at TinyFest.events. Kids under 12 get in free and credit card fees apply. Tickets will also be sold on-site for $20-25 at the door.

Renee McLaughlin

TinyFest Founder and CEO Renee McLaughlin went ‘tiny’ in 2015 after swapping her 3,300 square foot house in Iowa to an 87 square foot tiny home on wheels.  Inspired by her experience, Renee started TinyFest Midwest in her home-state before relocating and adding events in the Northwest, Southwest, California and Texas.
