Tony’s Song Writing Workshop | Oakland

For song writers of all genres and abilities, each workshop begins by analyzing an existing song; they’ll get into the song writer’s head, play and sing through the chords and lyrics, and add some of their techniques to your own toolboxes. Then Tony opens the floor to those who want to share their own songs, whether they are works in progress or completed masterpieces.

Tony focuses primarily on helping writers to express the intent of their song as clearly and creatively as possible. At this workshop, you’ll be studying a song by Oakland singer/songwriter Briget Boyle, which she’ll play for you live.
