Activate McCoppin: Month-Long Block Party | SF

During the month of November 2013, Activate McCoppin is temporarily transforming the McCoppin Hub, at the intersection of Valencia and McCoppin Streets from a parking lot into a community hub.

McCoppin Hub is hosting a variety of events and art installations in an effort to offer opportunities for communities to come together, connect, share, collaborate, and have fun. This project will help determine what programming works in the McCoppin Hub prior to the improvement project slated to begin in 2014.

Want to host your own event? Come teach a class on basket weaving, play some bluegrass, or host a panel discussion. The possibilities are endless.

Off The Grid | Activate McCoppin: Month-Long Block Party | SF

Off the Grid celebrates the exciting progress of the future SoMa West Skateboard Park at the McCoppin Hub with live music, givaways and food trucks from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2013.

Entertainment includes:

See Andre Thierry (of Zydeco Magic) jamming out live at the event, local pro skateboarders, and take home giveaways from DLX, Benny Gold and San Francisco Skateboarding Association. Mural artist Jovi Schnell for SoMa West Skateboard and dog park will be present.
