Hear from Bay Area journalists doing government accountability work about the barriers to accessing information they have faced since the coronavirus pandemic began, and why they are pressing officials for answers. Joining us will be:
  • Lydia Chávez, the executive editor of Mission Local
  • Trisha Thadani, a City Hall reporter with the San Francisco Chronicle
  • Scott Morris, an investigative reporter with the Bay City News Foundation and ProPublica
  • Nuala Bishari, an independent journalist who writes for the San Francisco Public Press and other local news outlets
The discussion will be moderated by Laura Wenus, host of “Civic” from the San Francisco Public Press. This event is free and open to the public.
