Event Details

Come aboard “The Dislocation Express,” a traveling performance done in two acts in two different locations by the AXIS Dance Company and Dandelion Dancetheater.

“The Dislocation Express” explores personal experiences of finding a sense of home and then losing it, drawing inspiration from hobo culture to better understand the contemporary notion of place amidst the portable internet and mobile phone culture.

All shows will start at the Ed Roberts Campus, which is connected to the Ashby BART station. Then after Act I is finished, audience members will buy BART tickets to follow the performers and see Act II at another station.

So for the cost of a train ride, see this unique, moving performance, which tackles the ideas of loneliness, desolation and isolation through dance.

Performance Schedule
Sunday, July 24 & Friday, July 29:
Act II at the Walnut Creek BART Station
Wednesday, July 27 & Saturday, July 30: Act II at the Powell St. Station (SF)

Ed Roberts Campus (3075 Adeline St., Berkeley) | Sun, July 24; Wed, July 27; Fri, July 29; Sat, July 30 | 6p | FREE*
