Treasure Island Great Lawn | Avenue of the Palms and 6th Street, San Francisco, CA
Submitted by the Event Organizer
A great place to watch the fireworks, if you don’t mind battling bridge traffic to get there, the area along Avenue of the Palms near the Treasure Island Great Lawn is typically open on 4th of July for general recreation and viewing of Bay Area nighttime fireworks shows.
And with all the construction planned for Treasure Island things might be a bit different than in the past in terms of viewing near the Great Lawn.
Great numbers of visitors to Treasure Island are expected on Thursday July 4, 2019 for viewing of Fireworks at the Great Lawn. Expect increased vehicle traffic on the Treasure Island Causeway, Clipper Cove Way, Avenue H and 9th Street. Westpark Express Parking and Traffic Services Flaggers will be on Island to assist with traffic control.
Additionally, expect increased SFPD presence on Treasure Island that evening. Admiral Security will be patrolling the residential area as well, and can be reached at 415-760-0406 to report suspicious activity.
Some Rules about watching fireworks on Treasure Island
- All posted “No Parking” and speed limit signage on the island must be obeyed at all times
- Keep Treasure Island clean and taking out all garbage
- No fireworks of any kind are allowed on Treasure Island or Yerba Buena Island
