We are at a crossroads. A fierce struggle for the future is underway. The Trump/Pence regime sent federal agents from multiple agencies to storm the streets of Portland, Oregon and crush ongoing protests and put an end to the Black Lives Matter movement. It is now deploying them to positions across the country, targeting those who dare to defy this regime and Democratic-run cities with large populations of Black people. Further terrorizing Black youth is a focal point of this effort.
No Terrorizing Black Communities, No Fascist Police State
RALLY at the intersection of Polk & California Streets
MARCH to Phillip Burton Federal Building/Courthouse
450 Golden Gate Avenue
Two federal police operations, ‘Operation Diligent Valor’ and ‘Operation Legend’ aim to deploy hundreds—perhaps thousands—of federal agents to major cities. These are ominous moves, with an election coming up and the looming threat of the regime utilizing military force to hold onto power, in one way or another.
People in Portland itself have stood up to this, and inspired millions. Now millions more must take up their example. The protests this past weekend in NYC, Chicago, Oakland, LA, and other places were important. But only a start to what is needed – and what is needed is to actually drive the regime from power through mass, non-violent struggle.
San Francisco has been too silent. We will not sit still and let Federal police forces snatch protestors off the streets, detain people without cause, to assault protests and youth with “non-lethal” weapons (that have fractured skulls and more) and gas. We will not tolerate it anywhere, we will not let it spread across the country.
Trump/Pence Out Now!
