Performers:
Frank Portman
Frank Portman (also known as “Dr. Frank”) is an SF Bay Area musician and novelist. Dr. Frank, sometimes dubbed “the Cole Porter of Punk,” and his band the Mr. T Experience (MTX) are typically cited as among the founders of “East Bay Pop Punk” and released around a dozen albums and eps on Green Day launchpad Lookout Records throughout its heyday in the 90s. He has also published three novels, including the best selling cult classic King Dork.Ken Reid
Ken Reid is a Boston based stand up comedian, podcaster, former punk rock teen (he was in the little loved 90’s Boston Punk band “30 Seconds Over Tokyo”) and adult survivor of a latchkey childhood. Reid was the long standing Friday night host at the legendary Comedy Studio in Cambridge, MA and produced his chaotic comedy variety show “The Secret Menu” there for two years. Reid was twice nominated as Best Comedian in Boston by the defunct Boston Phoenix and named one of Boston’s best comics by CBS Boston. Please note, this show is partially seated; arrive early to guarantee seating.
