Event Details

A peña folklorica is a gathering centered around music, originating from Chile. Musicians are invited to perform, then an acoustic guitar is passed around for anyone to play. Think of it as a spontaneous open mic with drinks where you can sing anything from your favorite lullaby to Guns ‘N Roses.

Featured performers include Diana Gameros, a folk-pop musician who’s
incorporating the singing of Cesar Chavez Elementary students into her next album, and Alejandro Chavez, an acoustic guitarist who’s an integral part of the Mission’s music scene.

This event takes place on June 22, 2012. There will be a $5 suggested donation. There will be a limited supply of free drinks to early arrivals.
