Union Square’s Festive “Winter Walk” 2025 (Dec. 13-24)

Winter Walk Presented by JPMorganChase, San Francisco’s signature holiday event, returns to Union Square December 13-24, 2025 for a 12-day celebration that transforms two blocks of Stockton Street into a festive holiday destination. This annual event will once again feature a holiday marketplace, food trucks, family-friendly stage programming, holiday decor, and seasonal drinks. 

Organized by the Union Square Alliance and with support from the Office of Mayor Daniel Lurie, the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD), JPMorganChase, Amazon, and the Build Group.

2025 details are still TBA (as of 12/4/25). To give you a sense of what to expect, here is what Winter Walk offered in 2024:

2024 Details:
Winter Walk turned Stockton Street into a pedestrian plaza filled with turf, food trucks, pop-up bars, arctic-themed decor, and daily performances. Visitors also followed the eight-stop Ornament Trail along Powell Street, with oversized ornaments created by local artists and festive decor at the Cable Car Turnaround. Expect a similar experience for 2025, with a full lineup of programming, decor, and holiday activities.

Winter Walk 2025 takes place on Stockton Street between Post and O’Farrell.
Event hours are Monday to Wednesday from 11 am to 7 pm, and Thursday to Sunday from 11 am to 9 pm.

We are still awaiting confirmation on whether the Ornament Trail will return for 2025.
