Emerging from the fog of the pandemic, a host of experimentalists join for an action-packed evening of noise, sights, and sound. (In-person and streaming online.)
The Unlocked Festival celebrates the spirit of creativity and resilience demonstrated over the course of the past two years and six previous Lockdown Festivals. As live music returns, this event offers an opportunity for the Bay Area music community to convene, gather strength, and forge ahead.
At a time of mounting strife worldwide and continued peril for communities of color, music of purpose is invaluable. Proceeds from this festival will be directed to support Bay Area community spaces and relief efforts for the people of Ukraine.
Program Includes: Rova Saxophone Quartet, Grex, Positive Knowledge (Oluyemi and Ijeoma Thomas), Evicshen, Lenora Lee and Francis Wong, duo B. (Jason Levis and Lisa Mezzacappa), Tongo Eisen-Martin, and the trio of Tom Weeks, Kazuto Sato, and Gerald Cleaver.
