First, what is a meet cute? Meet Cute/ noun : a cute, charming, or amusing first encounter between two people (as if in a movie)

Our goal at Meat Meet Cute is to foster real life connections by bringing people in a relationship AND people who are single together for a night of laughter, love and meat sweats.

• Singles: come one, come all for a night of laughter, entertainment and… love? Four of you will be plucked on stage to date in front of a live audience to see if you can find your meet cute tonight.

• Couples: join us for a date night out, we’ll pick the place and grab the drinks, you bring your best meet cute story (aka how you two met). But, be ready to share it, as we might bring you on stage.

• Not wanting to define yourself? No worries, you don’t have to volunteer to come up on stage, you can absolutely just watch & enjoy.

So the night will go a little bit like this:

1. Welcome in! Grab a name tag, and opt in to volunteer yourself on stage. (Don’t worry – it will be painless, fun and only a couple of minutes. You also get a free meal if you’re chosen.) Then, grab a beverage, mingle with others and find your seat.
2. At 8pm sharp, our show starts! We’ll start by randomly selecting a couple from the audience to interview about how they met. We’ll oOoh and ahh together, then will break for intermission.
3. Then at 8:30pm, part two begins: it’s the singles’ turn. We’ll select 4 individuals to join us on stage to date LIVE and see if they have the chemistry for their very own meet cute. This is where the 🥩 comes in — we’ll have a local SF restaurant set up the stage to fully get you in the dating mindset, transporting you to the optimal first dinner date location: in front of a live crowd (of course.) Speaking of the crowd… they’ll be sourcing your first date questions. A full interactive evening for all… more details to come!
