Join us for a Venetian Masquerade Ball and wear your favorite Renaissance costume in celebration of the de Young’s new exhibit on the masters of Venice. Enjoy the wonderous characters from Velocity Circus as they interact with museumgoers of the masquerade ball. Attend a special lecture: Masters of Venice: Renaissance Painters of Passion and Power from the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna, hands on art-making activities and more.
About Friday Nights at the De Young
Friday Nights at the de Young offers a variety of free interdisciplinary arts programs, including live music, poetry, films, dance, art activities and lectures in the public spaces of the museum.
Please note that admission to the museum’s galleries is not free on Friday nights, but instead all of the events listed above take place in the museum’s “free zone” right by the entrance and are free and open the public and do not require tickets.
