Event Details

Un Viaje – “A Journey” – is a mini-music festival on El Rio’s lovely patio to celebrate the release of Banda Sin Nombre’s live album, created on a tour spanning from Catalonia to the southern tip of Andalucia. Featuring live music from Banda Sin Nombre and La Mandanga, DJ sets from Chulita Vinyl Club, and special dance performances from Lea De Las Lobas, Shane Zaldivar, and the fabulous TransforMario all the way from Granada.

Banda Sin Nombre is a five-piece street band from the Mission District dedicated to performing folk music from around the world. Mixing rich vocal harmonies with acoustic instruments including guitar, fiddle, charango, cajon, and bass, the band’s inspirations range from Peruvian chicha to Catalan rumba and Appalachian old time to cumbia.
