A group of ladies ask their lovers to ”treat me good.” Music: ‘Those Ever-Lovin Baby Blues’ by The ID.

GRACIE BUCCIARELLI
The Contender (2006, 6min)
Challenging cultural assumptions about strength and gender, this video suggests training for a self-revolution.

HEIDI COOPER
SRB/HECMATTHEW GOTTSCHALK
Sad Hammer (2011)
Sad Hammer follows the life of an adolescent tool as he navigates the world between his therapist’s office to his bedroom where he shuts the world out with his oversized headphones.

MICHAEL HALL
Five Constant Factors (2006, 7:48)
Five Constant Factors is an abstracted exploration of images of war – it’s oddity, darkness, and the intensity of bonds made and those torn away. Its title and structure is derived from the Art of War by Sun Tsu. These factors are: 1) The Moral Law; (2) Heaven; (3) Earth; (4) The Commander; (5) Method and Discipline.

STEUART PITTMAN
How to Build the Perfect Canvas (2009, 3:16min)
Art students of the world: you too can achieve beautiful, custom-built canvases in just fourteen simple steps! Join master craftsmen Steve Cassens and Bill Levandowski as they demonstrate how to build, stretch, and prime the perfect canvas.

KATE RHOADES
Self-Portrait as a YouTube Tutorial (2013, 2:53min)
Pasted together from YouTube tutorials such as “How to prepare for a disaster” and “How to masturbate,” this is a look at the artist through the instructions of strangers from the internet.

A God Damned Masterpiece (2012, 5:04min)
In this explosion of creative ecstasy, Kate Rhoades has collaged all the the most extreme moments of her psychic timeline into a single narrative simulacrum. She takes us on a journey from the deepest inner mental space to the far reaches of the galaxy and back again. With this rumination on the pains and joys of being an artist and the unlikely sources of inspiration, Rhoades gives us a truly hopeful view of creative life.

LAUREN SOLDANO
But I’m a Genderqueer (2011, 11:34)
Autobiographical meets fantastical, But I’m a Genderqueer is a story about one person’s day-long journey through what some might call an identity crisis — but ultimately, it’s the true story of queer self-love triumphing over all obstacles.

HEATHER STOCKTON
CPK Clique (2012, 2:18min)
It’s the Dream Team meets the Supreme Team.

DOUG GARTH WILLIAMS
Anatomy of the Lepus Timidus (2min)

Abandoned Beats
Based on a dream where I could change form and shift dimensions. Sparkling particle expansion, I’m a non-stop dancing coyote-slingshot picking up the beats that you carelessly drop.
