California Summer Music is a festival for string players, pianists, and composers held for three and a half weeks each July at Sonoma State University. We present a series of master classes and concerts to the public for free.
The master class July 14th features violinist Robin Sharp teaching our young musicians. Ms. Sharp is currently Concertmaster of the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra with conductor Benjamin Simon, and served as Concertmaster of the Berkeley Symphony with conductor Kent Nagano for six seasons. She was also first violinist of the Ives Quartet and a member of the San Francisco Symphony. Ms. Sharp has taught at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Santa Clara University, and Sacramento State University. She currently teaches at Stanford University.
