Event Details

Join us Wednesday June 9th at 6 p.m. in welcoming John N. Maclean for his book Home Waters. Which will release on June 1st. In Home Waters, Maclean returns to the Blackfoot River, made famous by his father in the novel A River Runs Through It. Beginning with his earliest memories of fly-fishing with his father on the river, Maclean passionately explores the history of his family’s life in the region as they became well-respected members of the community and developed an abiding love for the land. Chronicling his family’s love and connection with the Blackfoot River throughout history, Maclean meditates on four generations of Macleans and their connection with the river and fly-fishng. Maclean will be in conversation with Andy Weiner an avid fly-fisher and the author of the award-winning children’s fly fishing book Down By the River.
