Virtual Fundraising Summit to Prevent Homelessness

Each year the Housing Industry Foundation celebrates the impact their Homeless Prevention Programs have on the housing crisis in the Bay Area while also honoring the families we support and the businesses that support our mission. The event will highlight our response to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. We will hear from families who were faced with homelessness and received emergency financial assistance and access to affordable housing through HIF. HIF will also honor AvalonBay Communities for their support of our mission and we will make a call to action to raise funds to help at least 500 families remain securely housed during this crisis.

The Housing Industry Foundation is holding their first virtual fundraising Summit on Thursday, September 24 from 5pm – 6pm PT. It is open to everyone and it can be watched on YouTube Live (www.hifstrong.com). The stream will be recorded and will be available after the event as well.

Housing Industry Foundation is holding the event to raise $185,000 to prevent homelessness in Silicon Valley. HIF has experienced a 400% increase in grant applications for their Emergency Housing Fund since the start of COVID-19. Funds will help us meet this need and keep 500 families in their home.
