Friends of the Urban Forest invites you on a two-hour walking tour of the palm “trees” of the San Francisco Botanical Garden, led by palm expert Jason Dewees, author of Designing with Palms. Did you know palms are more closely related to grasses than to trees? Join us to learn much more about these beautiful and interesting members of our ecosystem. Participation is limited to 20 people, so please RSVP at our website to reserve your space.

The walking tour is free, and admission to the Botanical Garden is free for San Franciscans with proof of residency. Admission for non-residents is $8 (with discounts for seniors, families & children).

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
