Parkour is a physical discipline of movement that trains one to navigate and interact with one’s environment using only the human body. Basically, it’s a highly choreographed, theatrical acrobatic motion of getting from point A to pont B not unlike Jackie Chan’s kung-fu moves.
Albert Kong will lead a workshop to U Games participants to cover the basics of what parkour is and the techniques involved, including jumps, landings, vaults, and rolls. We believe the public is free to watch the workshop in action.
Please note that participating in the workshop may be limited to registered U Games participants. But as this event takes place in the courtyard of the Berkeley High School Theater (which should be open to the public) You should be able to watch all of the action for free.
