Event Details

There’s not much to separate the Castro Farmer’s Market (Wednesdays 4pm to 8pm at Noe and Market) from all of the other farmer’s markets in the city other than it’s location. To combat that, the organizers are putting together a Watermelon eating contest at 5:30 PM on August 25th featuring organic melons grown by Happy Boy

The contest is open to anyone (Just sign up at the Information booth ahead of time on the day of the contest) and you’ll need to eat your slice the fastest. The contest is free enter, free to watch and there will be “really great” prizes for the first three finishers. Hopefully not more watermelon
