Event Details

Set in a drowned Bay Area, circa 2070, The Forever Wave radio play imagines the survivors of this water-logged world occupying the tops of hills, individual islands jutting up from a climate-change induced tide that rolled in one day and never rolled out. The Forever Wave debuted on KSFP 102.5 FM in March 2023, and has been on tour of community radio stations and the International Fringe Festival circuit ever since.

Inspired by Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood, The Forever Wave reconceptualizes Thomas’ radio play for a climate ravaged near-future.

Playwright and director Nicole Gluckstern will introduce the 95 minute piece, and take questions after the show. A free map of the locations described in the play will be distributed so folks can follow along.

Please note, this is a radio (audio only) play. Dialogue/subtitles will be projected on the screen in the Koret.

Content advisory from the director: the play is recommended for persons of thirteen years and older.
