A spin-off from the original Wheel of Karaoke, Wheel of Karaoke West combines comedy and karaoke this time by making the judges do the singing.
The first half of the show is a stand-up comedy showcase, in which some of the best comedians in the Bay Area produce a cavalcade of joke-telling carnage.
Following this introduction, the comedians return to the stage to form a Panel of Pretty-Mean-Yet-Supportive Judges. Each judge takes a turn to sing karaoke with a random challenge determined by a “Wheel of Fate”, which will force the singers to take on dares ranging from “singing without lyrics” to “calling the would-be pop-star’s parents on speaker-phone”.
This show is every 4th Sunday at Milk Bar, hosted by Brandon Garner and Samantha Gilweit.
