LA’s Dengue Fever, and their fun ’60s era Cambodian surf rock, sold out their first night at The Independent so they’ve just announced a second show on Tuesday January 12, 2010 – We’ve got 2 pair of tickets to give away to this newly added date!

About Dengue Fever: It’s understandable why the six-member Dengue Fever is getting so much attention, as they don’t sound like anyone else — marrying lovely female Cambodian vocals with surf, jazz, lounge, and garage-rock for a style that’s slinky, sexy, and cinematic as hell. Their live set is a mix of covers (which stay true to the crazy party music spirit of the ’60s- and ’70s-era go-go originals) and quirky original songs, many sung in the Khmer tongue.
