Event Details

Burrows Pocket Park and the surrounding block will transform into a block party just for the World Cup on Sunday, June 22, 2014.

The Portola Neighborhood Association will host a free live screening of the Team USA v. Team Portugal game at Burrows Pocket Park. Game time is 3 pm, but festivities start at noon.

They’ll have free facepainting, a photobooth, live music and dancing, Brazilian marital arts demos, arts & crafts, and games for kids and adults alike.

Musicians will play the bongos, the “Dancers On Call” will perform Portuguese, American and Brazilian dances, and you’ll want to dance right along.

While there will be some seating provided, everyone is invited to bring seating to enjoy the 80” TV and surround sound dedicated to fútbol.

Food and drink will be on sale from local merchants. In addition, Four Barrel is located right in the park and will be open for business.
