On World Peace Day, share a minute of eye contact with others in public to rebuild the sense of shared humanity in Oakland. This is part of ‘The World’s Biggest Eye Contact Experiment 2019″, It’s being held in cities all over the world and your participation will help build a global vibration of peace and human connection.
Come together and connect with each other on a deep and meaningful level simply by gazing into each others eyes on September 21, 2019 from noon to 2 pm.
Officially join the event here. The idea is simple:
1. Have clear signs that say “Where has the human connection gone? Share 1 minute of eye contact to find out…”
2. Sit down and invite another person to come and share a moment of eye contact.
3. Allow yourselves to be seen & calmly gaze into the eyes of another person. When creating a safe environment of acceptance and love, others will feel connected.
4. On the Day – Bring your cushions, mats, or other comfort items for sitting on the ground. Show up for the opening circle, then participate in the event for up to 2 hours.
You will meet on Saturday the 21st of September at noon at The Lake Merritt Pergola, 599 El Embarcadero, Oakland. Please come in smart casual clothing with a picnic rug and 2x cushions to be comfortable. Instead of cushions, you can bring 2x folding chairs, this makes it easier for the elderly to sit.
