Eagle Plaza Groundbreaking
Date: Tuesday, June 18
Time: 11:30 am
Location: SF Eagle, 398 12th St.
Eagle Plaza will transform a portion of 12th Street between Harrison and Bernice Streets in San Francisco’s Western SoMa neighborhood into a new pedestrian plaza with a shared public way, in which traffic calming features create a safe space for people of all ages to gather, relax, play, and celebrate. The plaza is designed for both active and passive recreation, with open, hardscape areas that can host neighborhood gatherings, events, performances, and also some quiet, green spaces to read a book, eat lunch or walk a dog.
Importantly, featuring the leather pride flag flying high, Eagle Plaza will also be a commemorative public space for Folsom Gulch’s Leather and LGBTQ communities.
