“Worth the Splurge” Epic NYE Parties / Open Bars / Glow Parties / Carnaval

Sometimes the best parties cost a little bit. Even though we are “Funcheap” we’re always looking for good value. Here’s some of our favorite “worth the spluge” ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve in the Bay Area.

Trick Dog $40 Open Bar & Food – (SF)

20th St. in Mission – $40 at door gets you hosted cocktails from a special menu (Bacardi, bulleit, Grey Goose, Hennessy, etc…), passed appetizers all night. 100% money raised goes to Seven Tepees Youth Program

Carnaval at The Armory (SF)

By team that produces SF’s Carnaval festival – DJs, samba dancers, epic balloon drop, door prize tip for 2 to mexico – $40 

NYE 2018 Premium Open Bar (SF)

Hue Lounge & Nightclub on Broadway in North Beach – free appetizers until 10pm, plus premium open bar all night (Hennessey, Belvedere, Patron, etc…) – $60 early bird tix 

EYE HEART NYE WITH MIGUEL (SF) 

10th annual fest – 5 hour open bar – Grammy-winning R&B artists Miguel headlines Fort Mason festival with views of golden gate bridge, silent disco, world-class lighting and sound system – $160 – Save $10 with code FUNCHEAP

Phish Live from Madison Square Garden (SF)

4:30pm to 10:30pm Live streaming cast – $20 at Richmond Republic Draft House on Clement – gets $3 beer entire show

The End Up NYE Party (SF)

$55 presale, but tix go up to 90 for 4.5 hour open bar (SF) – 9:30pm to 6am – 3 Rooms of DJs – 6th and Harrison –

Glow NYE Party at Harmonia Sausalito – $45 (NB)

Blacklight dance party followed by  glow yoga class and DJ dance party

MOULIN ROUGE MOVIE & COSTUME PARTY –  $30 (SJ)

3 Below Theater on 2nd St. in San Jose – $30 for Moulin Rouge NYE costumes required Singalong – themed props, on screen lyrics, champagne, sparkling cider and dessert buffet following the film

NYE Open Bar & Buffet (SJ)

$75 at 7 Stars Bar & Grill on S. Bascom  open bar,, buffet (apps + pulled pork & meatball sando), party favors, champagne toast, karaoke and music.
