Wreckless Strangers “Wreck the Halls” Live at Lucca Beer Garden

Fresh off the release of their acclaimed new EP Blue Sky Fantasy, Wreckless Strangers will return to Lucca Beer Garden in Benicia on Friday, December 20 for a special, free “Wreck the Halls” holiday show. The band will perform a mix of fan favorites alongside tracks from their latest EP.

Recently named to Music Connection Magazine’s Hot 100 2024—their annual list of the best unsigned live performers— Wreckless Strangers is a collective of six friends and musicians carrying the torch for San Francisco’s grand rock ‘n’ roll tradition. Their unique stew of “Bay Area Gumbo” melds the contemporary blues stylings of Bonnie Raitt and Boz Scaggs; the songwriting sensibilities of Sons of Champlin and Fleetwood Mac; the swashbuckling Americana of the Lost Planet Airmen and Peter Rowan; and the funk of Sly Stone and Tower of Power with a dash of Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane for flavor and unpredictability. With soaring harmony vocals and burning instrumental improvisation framed in concise and poignant original songwriting, Wreckless Strangers seek to honor and carry forth the brand of free-spirited musical fun and adventure that defines the Bay Area.

The band includes Amber Morris ( lead vocals), David Noble (lead guitar, lead vocals), Joshua Zucker (bass, vocals), Austin de Lone (keys, vocals), Mick Hellman (drums, vocals), and Rob Anderson (guitar, vocals). Individually, members of Wreckless Strangers have worked with Elvis Costello, Miley Cyrus, Peter Rowan, Highway Wolf, Bonnie Raitt, Ismay, Boz Scaggs, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Olivia Wolf, Laurie Lewis, and more!

Blue Sky Fantasy, released on September 27, is available now on all streaming platforms. Produced by the legendary 4x Grammy award-winning engineer and producer Dave Way, this latest collection is a sonic adventure that showcases the band’s evolution with a cohesive blend of tracks that highlight their range and artistic growth. Blue Sky Fantasy offers a dynamic mix of powerful guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and stand-out vocals.  From the uplifting anthem of the opening track on, “I Found a Way,” to the soulful determination of the closer, “Never Give Up,” each track is a testament to the band’s creativity and relentless passion for their craft.
