SF’s Yerba Buena Gardens Festival 2026
The 2026 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival hosts a full lineup of free outdoor music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, and children’s programs. The Festival opens on Saturday, May 9, 2026 with Hermán Olivera y Orquesta Taíno to kick off its 26th season. The Festival features over 100 free performances from May to November in Downtown San Francisco.
Introducing DakhaBrakha, a world-music subversive punk-folk quartet from Kiev, Ukraine. Reflecting fundamental elements of sound and soul, “ethno-chaos” band DakhaBrakha, creates a world of unexpected new music like you’ve never heard before. Accompanied by Indian, Arabic, African, Russian and Australian traditional instrumentation, the quartet’s astonishingly powerful and uncompromising vocal range creates a trans-national sound rooted in Ukrainian culture.
Also featuring Kitka, a celebrated women’s vocal arts ensemble inspired by traditional songs and vocal techniques from Eastern Europe. The octet has earned international recognition for its earthy to ethereal timbres evoking an astonishing range of subtle to extreme inner states, instincts, and emotions.
