On Friday, October 31st, the ghosts and ghouls of Future Funk rise at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco for a night of funky disco edits and killer grooves.
We’re summoning one of the genre’s finest – special guest FIBRE. He’ll be making his Rickshaw Stop debut, playing alongside DJs Meikee Magnetic and Valentine, spinning the best Future Funk cuts all night long.
Yoi Toki is all about celebrating the sounds of Future Funk, a genre that blends retro anime aesthetics, the grooves of 70s Disco, Funk and Japanese City Pop, with modern electronic music production techniques. Emerging around the 2010s, this sound is designed for the dancefloor – a mix of past and present, creating a unique feel-good, upbeat, and energetic experience.
