Event Details

Prominent local amateur mycologist and co-founder of the Bay Area Mycological Society, Debbie Viess, will share her fascination with the wonderful world of fungi: how and where to find them, why it is scientifically important to study and collect them and why it is so much fun! Debbie will provide beautiful and interesting photos of her fungal friends, and tell many stories of her fungal exploits.

Registration appreciated but not required.

Before the event, submit YOUR OWN PHOTOS of local mushrooms (three photos or less) to Julie.Jackson@mountainview.gov for display in the library and online. Include your name and the neighborhood where you found the mushroom.
