This evening kicks off a (((folkYEAH!))) Winter Residency with a diverse and exciting line-up of Bay Area Bands. We hope you will join us each Tuesday in January for a night of great local music.

After playing Americana rock for years with Mover and then singing really heavy loud rock with Parchman Farm and Hot Lunch, Eric Shea had a hankering to get back into some rootsy twang with rad dudes who dig old gear and cold beer. Sweet Chariot was soon born – a quintet playing timeless power-pop and dusty desert jams trimmed in the bygone tones of west coast canyon-twang.

Sparrows Gate’s music is cut from the same cord as John Steinbeck’s desolate western landscapes and the humble optimism of his characters hearts. Zebedee Zaitz’s lyrics are the deep reflection of small town California during warm nights.
