Bank of America Free Museum Weekends

A special perk to gain you free admission to any of seven Bay Area museums one weekend every month.

Most museums in the Bay Area have a free admission day once a month for the general public, but that can get awfully crowded and sometimes the free days are in the middle of the week which can make it tough for working folk.

Personally, Funcheap are fans of credit unions, but if you happen to be a holder of a Bank of America credit card or debit card, you can get free admission to any of seven Bay Area museums (as well as 150+ museums around the country) for one weekend each month.

All you need to do is show the ticket booth a photo ID and your BofA card and you’re in for free!

The list of museums participating in the Museums on Us program isn’t extensive, but you do get in for free on the first Saturday or Sunday of every month and the list includes both the Legion of Honor and the de Young Museum.

Participating Museums include:

  • Contemporary Jewish Museum (SF)
  • Legion of Honor (SF)
  • de Young Museum (SF)
  • Children’s Creativity Museum (SF)
  • San Jose Museum of Art (SJ)
  • The Tech Museum of Innovation (SJ)
  • Chabot Space & Science Center (OAK)
