You’re always looking to save a buck but sometimes it’s time to save a life.

To that end, the popular South Indian restaurant Dosa is hosting Tuesdays for Tokyo in April and giving all the profits from both locations to a relief effort in Japan‘s devastated northern coastline. [Details on “Tuesdays for Tokyo”]

So if you’re going to pick a night out, splurge on delicious Indian fare at Dosa during a Tuesday this month (April 5th, 12th, 19th or 26th) at either Dosa location:

  • Dosa on Valencia: 955 Valencia Street & 21st Street in the Mission
  • Dosa on Fillmore: 1700 Fillmore Street & Post Street in Pacific Heights

You’ll know that profits from every curry you order and chutney you enjoy will benefit, through the Northern Japan Relief Fund, local non-profit and community service organizations in Japan for those most in need in the affected areas. You may think it’s small peanuts but individual efforts have really added up. As of late March, the relief fund has raised $1,027,987.
