The Mission Community Market is a weekly, outdoor marketplace that celebrates the Mission’s diversity with fresh foods, local businesses, and after-school activities in order to increase economic opportunity, family health and the fun, safe use of streets in the Mission.

April 12, 2012: Opening Day
April 12th marks the first day of the 2012 season for the Mission Community Market. Stroll through for live entertainment, the unveliing of a new youth mural, “Market Match” and new vendors.

New tastes like 4505 Meats and Spring Hill Cheese will make summer BBQs sooo easy. Little City Gardens will have their exceptional San Francisco-grown produce and ethos. Local artisans Zia, Georgie Girl and Smokin’ Pottery will be selling their one-of-a-kind wares. Local florist Floreria la Poblanita will be selling fresh, fragrant flowers.

Live music/Performances
In addition to tasty street food, local produce and art, opening day will also feature music and dancing. Renowned musicians LoCura (recently featured in the National Geographic World Music series), and dance group ABADÁ-Capoeira will be entertaining for the evening. .
