The city of Oakley, one of California’s youngest cities, is celebrating their 17th anniversary of cityhood on Saturday, July 2, 2016. They will also celebrate the nation’s birthday.
Held at Freedom High School Soccer Basin, there will be a wide variety of vendors with goods for sale as well as food vendors with tasty treats and dinner available for purchase.
All activities will close precisely at 9 pm in anticipation of the fireworks show which starts at approximately 9:30 pm. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic dinners to enjoy the music and fireworks show.
Admission is free; $5 wristbands are also available for purchase for the children’s activities and rides. Children up to the age of 5 may receive a free wristband.
