One of the largest Filipino cultural events returns to the Alameda waterfront for a 3rd year on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. Filipino Island Fest brings thousands of attendees together to celebrate Filipino culture, community, and belonging.
This year’s theme reflects both where Filipinos come from and where they stand today: “Rooted Here – Culture That Grounds Us. Community That Grows Us.”
Grounded in the spirit of Bayanihan, it honors the connections, traditions, and collective strength that continue to shape Filipino identity and future. The festival features different activations highlighting Filipino heritage, wellness, sports, artisans, performances, and food from across the diaspora.
