Feast of Words: A Literary Potluck: Thao Nguyen | SF

Speak Your Peace, a group exhibition in which artists explore intercultural communication and social justice and propose new iconographies of peace through visual art, January 4–24, 2013, inspires this month’s theme, “Beginnings.”

Join a reading and writing exercise led by performer, writer, playwright and comic storyteller Thao P. Nguyen. Thao has been writing and performing solo shows since she joined the Solo Performance Workshop in 2007.

Culinary guest Celia Racicot anchors the evening’s potluck with French comfort fare. Racicot, a self-taught cook and urban farmer originally from Oklahoma, focuses on French comfort fare inspired by her internship at Chez Panisse in Berkeley.

Please note: Thao P. Nguyen is a performer and writer, but she is not Thao Nguyen of The Get Down Stay Down indie folk band. Both local. Both awesome. But very different people.
