CANCELED: First Tuesdays Free Admission Day: Museum of Craft and Design | Dogpatch

Please note the Museum of Craft and Design no longer has a free day on the First Tuesday of every month. As of 2022 the museum has a “pay what you can” Wednesdays.

Enjoy free admission to the Museum of Craft and Design on the first Tuesday of every month.

After six years in Union Square and two years of pop-ups, the Museum of Craft & Design opened up their permanent location in the historic American Industrial Center in San Francisco’s vibrant Dogpatch neighborhood. Rather than featuring paintings or traditional sculpture, the museum showcases other types of artwork that range from furniture, kinetic sculptures, and jewelry.

A special free admission day thanks for Sunday Streets.

Get inspired by Wendy Maruyama’s magnificent elephant artworks, and scale it down to a wearable size. We’ll be making elephant-inspired shrink plastic pins, charms and pendants that you will be able to wear home, to spread the word about elephant conservation!

The museum will be open with FREE admission and activity as a part of the Dogpatch/Bayview Sunday Streets event. The South-bound lanes of 3rd will be closed to traffic, so be sure to bring your bike, skates, or scooter!
